THE FEARFUL GOD
The fearful God
Yet, the fearless
I fear You…God
Who can’t be blocked
From doing His will.
Who dares lift a lamp
To view a lion’s face?
The partridge won’t sight a hunter
And still remain unmoved—never!
It is suicidal; stubbornness
That makes the hare go for a stroll
When the hound is on the prowl.
I fear You, God who is fearful in presence
I fear You…the fearful God.
Yet, the fearless
I fear You…God
Who can’t be blocked
From doing His will.
Who dares lift a lamp
To view a lion’s face?
The partridge won’t sight a hunter
And still remain unmoved—never!
It is suicidal; stubbornness
That makes the hare go for a stroll
When the hound is on the prowl.
I fear You, God who is fearful in presence
I fear You…the fearful God.
