THE EMPTY ROOM
THE EMPTY ROOM
‘Tis but a dream, I wake
and touched.
It was not there,
no more than a fog upon
the moor, or a ghost meant to
deceive,
Just a whisper to conceal the
true meaning from view,
as one would secure a
lovers door
while entering.
It was no more than
holding the
light of day in my
hand, or catching the
dark of night ,
thereby; keeping it.
Tis but a dream that
has vanished ,leaving
no foot prints,
as if
it were never there.
