    ECHOES OF DARKNESS AND LIGHT

    ECHOES OF DARKNESS AND LIGHT

    Serene stillness slowly

    slides,

    as the opaque night

    gives way to the

    brightness of day.

    Chaotic the sound

    as light chases

    night.

    How cruel,

    the dying wail that

    sends a sudden chill,

    as if someone had

    walked across my

    grave.

    The echoes of night

    slips away

    and I stand immersed,

    in the light of day.
