Crystal of Time
Crystal chandelier,
sparking clear,
kaleidoscope shapes
playing across my wall.
I watch the simple
theme perform it’s
dance routine.
The performers untiring
in a cold moon lit
winter’s night;
then as clouds pass by
they all run and
hide.
Window, bright
stream of light
purified through the
blue hanging ice,
the cast ever changing
with each
freeze and thaw,
always ready for the
next curtain call.
Imagination of the
past recalled,
wishing for a miracle;
the doctor said
just a matter of time.
not much hope for
a nine year old;
just the crystal of time.
