    The Empty One Stands Willing

They say a mind is a terrible thing to waste
But the girl seemed sweet, bitter to taste
Reliving memories, there is no escape
While she searches for another mans' mind to rape
Clinging to another girl, I really don't care
Using and abusing, like an old shirt I wear
I see the one who fueled my desire
A single look puts a log on the fire
I turn away, but my eyes still see
When she's around there's nothing left of me
Heading for the door I make the mistake
That one look was too much to take
Dreading the consequences I stagger to her
I have my reasons, can't remember what they were
Looking into her eyes triggers the spell
My heart has been taken and now rests in Hell
Love for a devious one has destroyed my soul
In my old shirt there's a gaping hole

Ouch, sounds like an struggle to regain self or re-lose self within another. You put the struggle nicely out where you can work with it and thats is part of regaining the shadow self.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

    Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
