The Dawning of A New Day

Today the sun rose over the horizon,
Casting rays with its warm glow to the sea.
The waves clashed against its shores,
So wild, timid and yet so care free.
Passerby not knowing what has taken place,
As the time drifted passing me by.
    In an instant not caring,
Or even did they want to know why.
    New wisdom to understand,
The advances of a modern world,
Changes to get use to what is right,
    Or what has become immoral.
    As the day progresses onward,
And its shadows leave to find.
Evenings of a brightly gleamed sunset,
Leaving thought filled memories to our mind.
    These reflections go unchanged,
For age will tell our time.
Of all the days and glorious sunsets,
We regret we have left behind.

    ..................................................

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
