Ones Inner Soul
I ventured into this world wearing my heart on my sleeve,
Succumbed by what they saw as they were looking at me.
Not hidden I knew what I must endure as I faced their rejections,
Like looking into my own soul I saw too their reflections.
We were as one as the mirrors cast out like figured shadows,
And the broken pieces came gartering its gloom unraveled.
I stood there among the glass look fragments of their lives,
Cut, yet not changed by their glances or words of knives.
Every place that I went my heart wept and left my soul to bleed,
Upon my broken spirit with all of those I had carried with me.
Yet in the gloaming twilight of myself individuality,
I found the peace and love through my persevering spirituality.
My mind in all its ways of endless complication,
Saw through meditations, prayers and contemplation.
In relaxed atmospheres beyond the realm of imagination within,
I met myself in the minds of others whom in return became my dearest friends.
Our awareness of our inner surroundings can overcome mental fears,
As we know by all of those whom become our troubled peer within.
We must know them by their manipulative ways and not give into them,
Look up beyond the wayward foes, for to be the victor is to win.
The answers to life do not come that easily the wounds are much too deep,
You cannot heal if you kill thy will, your soul you must learn to keep.
Look hard into the souls light, like that of a hanging chandelier,
And give away the colored prisms, for you have so much of yourself to bear.
