The Darkness

The Darkness

In the dark,
my light does fade.
To an everlasting
deep blue glow.
Passion slowly seeping out
Emotions fading
Where does it go?
When light fades
and darkness folds
and souls cry
while hearts bleed...
What is this place?
of pain,
of hurt...
of never-ending
thoughts and yearning.
I do not wish to leave,
for I fear what is unknown
even though in this world
I cry in silent black...

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
