THE BALANCE

THE BALANCE

Gently, slowly
I moved close to her
leaning over
compelled by forces
never quite understood
but heartfelt
for her love
beckoned a reply
to which I responded
placing one kiss
to each eye
as they closed
sealing her fate
to be forever
lost up in love
for me
as I was for her.
"Remember this moment
should doubt
cloak itself
in an attempt
to steal away
with our love
this intoxicating nectar
from the gods."

A really nice piece of work, so smooth and tells of ensuring that love remains, both given and taken.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I try to offer something to take with you. lol

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
