Sundering

Sundering

Through my heart this frozen dagger slides; slicing soul and chain. My strength and purpose guide it's path of icebound pain.
One more twist to sever the seam, then final tear of barb and blade.
With this death I live again, beginning my pain anew.

I love the way that you twist words. Now if only there was a great author that would write in such a fashion!

Sickness, pain and death what tasty morsels to the living. Most befitting the wintery chill outside in the northern eve.

love this poem.creates a tragic mood while hinting at eternal recurrence

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
