Sanity's Curse

Sanity's Curse

We structure our mind

And guide our thoughts

To excel in this, our world.

We never question,

Nor do we let guidelines burn.

We sacrifice our creative

Delirium for externally

Prescribed intelligence.

Here, I say, Now I say,

Destroy the sanity,

Release the order

Question all, even me,

Let insanity take hold

To bring us to a new world

Of unquestionable genius.

We do have to break outside the ranks once in awhile and start a new trend that's for sure, sometimes we can do it right in the center of the line and start a renewal right in the crowds.

Wow. That's a big order and what would happen? As insane as you claim to be you're quite sane and ingenious. what happens when the literal mad man practices his brand of insanity? Who stops him? Does he eat babies, torch buildings, create unnecessary chaos? come on, that's a huge jump even for you. Great poem, I hope it never comes to fruition but I do wish we could all practice creativity without to much censorship.

The point of this poem was not to point out that I am THAT insane. I mean merely that we cannot always just accept what is, follow norms and society if we truly wish to reach genius level. Not the insanity of eating babies. Though unnecessary chaos can be quite entertaining.
