Suddenly in Time
To lose a love suddenly in time
A wife not a widow in my mind
Memories are all that I hold dear
Wishing my love you were here
Alone at night and so very cold
Now lonely I must grow old
To move on just like before
Will take time as I open new doors
Doors that lead me anew
As I learn to live without you
I carry you in my heart
Though in reality we are so far apart
Every picture a memory of love
A life that we shared from above
I hold on to all of your things
I will part with them but not our rings
I will wear this token of love
Until the day we meet above
So rest in peace my lovely man
And I will carry on the best I can
And some day I may understand
As we once again together stand
