Poem Commentary

Lyrics to a song composed by a friend.

Subtlety

look up there
can you see
faces in the clouds?
             ~o~
look at me
can you see
hatred in my eyes?
             ~o~
When you look around
you will probably find
what I'm all about
and how I'm gonna play
             ~o~
Maybe you're confused
even maybe amused
at the facts of this
hide and seek charade
             ~o~
when you try to run
i can see you warmth
and you're just the prey
in this sick old game
             ~o~
I love you in my wrath
another reason why
you come back to me
with much subtlety
             ~o~
look around
can you see
people in the sky
             ~o~
look at me
can you see
hunger in my mind
look up there
can you see
faces in the clouds?
             ~o~
look at me
can you see
hatred in my eyes?
             ~o~
When you look around
you will probably find
what I'm all about
and how I'm gonna play
             ~o~
Maybe you're confused
even maybe amused
at the facts of this
hide and seek charade
             ~o~

and you're just the prey
in this sick old game
             ~o~

             ~o~

Thanks for your support! I will be posting many more, soon. And yes, they're all mine.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
