Star Performer
About her face, her hair falls like a curtain,
The berry and wild flower scent that would make a rose jealouse.
Her eyes shine so blue,
They would cause a perfect blue sky to turn gray with envy.
Her lips so soft and wintery-pink,
They make perriwinkle appear black.
Her laugh so beautiful and full of life,
It makes clowns retire.
Her voice so gentle,
It would make a butterfly sting like a bee.
Her cuts, so deep,
They make bottomless pits have ends.
Her tears, so full,
They make the oceans go dry.
Her trust, so lost,
She makes everything have a home.
Her mask, so distracting,
It hides the truth.
Her make-up so perfectly applied,
That no tear streak exists.
Her cry, so silent,
Makes a mime louder than a rock concert.
Her broken world,
Hidden by the act of a Star Performer
