Shine

Shine

Don't let them see you suffer,
don't let them see you mad,
don't let them see they've gotten to you,
don't let them see you sad.
For they will try to break you,
the fragile glass, you are,
they will just continue,
until they go to far.
And when you feel like shattering,
take a look inside,
you glisten like a prism,
you do not have to hide.
Go out into the sunshine,
let your colors shine so bright,
they'll be shining on the inside,
in the darkness of the night.

Awesome. I could feel every word you were saying. I will be thinking about them for days.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
