    She is An Angel Now...

    She is an ANGEL now
    Sandra Cantu

    Walking down her street
With a smile on her face,
    Someone took her away
    Not leaving a trace.
    A Beautiful little girl
    Innocent and pure
    Was taken away
    No more life to endure.
The minute I saw your picture
On the news in search for you,
    My heart was so touched
    Tears filled my eyes view.
    I didn’t even know you
    And now my heart cries
    Because someone took you away
    Who still remains a disguise.
    I am so sorry Sandra
That this person saw you as prey,
If only we could turn back time
    What would we say?
    We always tell our children
To beware of the evil doers out there,
    But children still trust
And have an innocence so fair.
You will be so very missed
By the many of us here,
And not a day will go by
That we will live without fear.
    Fear of the perpetrator
Who still lurks in the midst
    Fear of the many
Who are still out there and exist.
    We will remember your smile
    As you skipped away ,
    We will remember your life
Saying a prayer for you each day.
You are now with the Angels
    In our heaven above,
You will be cared for and comforted
    And shown so much love.
You will be adorned very soon
With a beautiful set of wings to fly
And then you will be set free
    To soar through the sky.
There are no words left to speak
    Of the tragedy upon you
But know that we will search
    And look for every clue.
And it is the smile on your face
And the pure innocence of you
That I will continue to ask myself
What is this world coming too.
With the hope that is still in our hearts
    Everyday we will continue pray
    Good Bye for now Sandra
Until we meet up again someday!

    The End.

I dedicate this poem to a little girl named Sandra Cantu.
For she was one of our innocent children whose life was taken by the pure evil of someone in this world in which we live.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
