    Poem Commentary

You think of beautiful things when you are happy.

    Return to me

    Sitting in this quiet meadow
    I sing my love song
    Waiting for you,my love
    Come home, my sweet
    For I can't wait
    To saturate your face
    with my kisses
I can no longer sit alone
    In this winter night
    Waiting for you
Let me look at your face
Understand the Impulses of your eyes
    Rip you with my love
    And ravish you alone
For this cold has made me
    Sick for your love.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
