Remember His Name

Remember His Name

I think I just met

The beginning of forever

And now my mind is set

I am oh, so clever

But the only shame

Is I cannot remember

His number or his name

This is only a

Tiny, minor set-back

Somehow I still know

His info I will get back

I will not delay

I’ll find him and not look back

Something I can say

Is I knew from that moment

I saw into the future

That he was mine forever

Our hearts we’ll fuse together

Regardless of the fact that

His name I can’t remember

I’m pretty sure that

I stole his heart and mind

He cannot deny that

He will be all mine

He’ll love me as I am

Our lives will be divine

I’ll wait for his reply

And to time never surrender

If only I’d remember

My love I would proclaim

To my soul mate with no name

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
