Poem Commentary

This is from something I have remebered it happened not in this life though.

Rembering

As I stood in the red dust of the baseball diamond
The rain pouring down on me
Why Papa Why?
Instead of seeing the black skys
I saw cream colored walls
Mama was was baking
Papa walked in the door coming home from work
A frown on his face
A small sweet voice
Papa are you okay?
Jumping at the sight and sound of both thunder and lighting
Why did I see that?
It was a memory from the past
I was remebering
Papa please Stop!
The voice called
Papa It hurts!
Papa Why?

The young girl screamed
Brown curls fanning out
Pale skin marked from abusive hands
Light brown eyes tearing up in pain and fear
Why was i rembering this?
I recall the pain
Rembering
The memories ghosted by me
I let tears leaking down my cheeks
As let my self fall into the soft red dirt
It was all past memories past pain
Yet i am reliving it still today.
Rembering all the pain.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
