~Reflection~

~Reflection~

This reflection I see
It can't possibly be me
Am I reallt that broken
Why has this never been spoken?

I can't seem to recoginze that face
But it seems she's losing the race
Tear stains on her cheeks
What is it that she seeks?

Maybe she's looking for love
Not just another emotional shove
Yet no one seems to understand
She's not prepared for this type of land

In that mirror she looks so sad
Her life can't be all that bad
I fear the problems are all in her mind
And yet solutions she cannot find

I walk away from my reflection
Trying to find my direction
I know there's truth in what I see
But I still don't want to admit that it's me

Really^ not reallt...lol

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
