"Test of time"
A perfect love exists.
It's in his laugh and behind his eyes.
An untouched gift from the Lord of our skies.
I've seen it... beleive me, its there.
I love him as I've loved no other.
A piece of myself, yet my everything...
While lost in the midst of my own ruin, Nirvana defeated life's sting.
A whirlwind of wants and needs,
Some met and some still burning.
Selfishness begets misery,
but somehow begins my wheels turning.
Happiness wrapped in a ribbon of lies,
I'd never know bliss had you not been disguised.
What is the meaning of smiles beyond cries?
I take it I will never understand.
Peices overlapping dancing outside lines...
feeding the flesh while starving the mind.
I'm choking on status and secrets and time...
Contentments a hard place to find.
Blinded by the calm before the storm,
then soaked in tears collected from wrestless clouds.
Awakened by a rainbow amidst a gloomy morn.
A whisper morphs into a life out loud.
With hands of prayer and patience
I will cover elder wounds...
and push the devils taunting out beyond the stars and moon...
Unsure of if the sparkle and the glimmer will soon fade
I will laugh in "here and now"
and discard my plans once made
for life is but an essence passing
filled with dues weve paid...
and we know not when were one breath short of death.
Let love trickle over
and mend your broken heart.
Let your soul and spirit flourish...
learn to tell the two apart
let the bliss thats at the finish
be evident right from the start ...
and let your mind and body house the Lord devine,
for as I've spoken, true contentments hard to find...
And only his pure love can stand the test of time.
