Picture Heart
The glass in the frame of this picture heart
Shatters
Into the little shards,
Of pain that cause a glittering stinging in my eyes
The shards sit there
Ripping and tearing at the photo of the happy memories
They work their way into
The fleshy exterior of my picture heart
From one snow globe world to another
Just when I think that the pieces have settled
You come back
To shake them up
By throwing the past in my face
This picture’s frozen
And I’m breaking down
Behind these walls
You seem not hear my calls
For redemption
That sweet forgiveness
That which you’v given everyone involved
EVERYONE THAT IS
BUT ME !!!!!!
You would rather see my heart crushed
Then move on by saying
“You are forgiven”
Who’s being selfish now?
Shatters
Into the little shards,
Of pain that cause a glittering stinging in my eyes
The shards sit there
Ripping and tearing at the photo of the happy memories
They work their way into
The fleshy exterior of my picture heart
From one snow globe world to another
Just when I think that the pieces have settled
You come back
To shake them up
By throwing the past in my face
This picture’s frozen
And I’m breaking down
Behind these walls
You seem not hear my calls
For redemption
That sweet forgiveness
That which you’v given everyone involved
EVERYONE THAT IS
BUT ME !!!!!!
You would rather see my heart crushed
Then move on by saying
“You are forgiven”
Who’s being selfish now?
