    Paradise

    Paradise

As I look onto the pearly gates

    Jerusalem, all that waits

    Scruff patch

    Pointing the way

    Two doors, two key holes

    Sweat!

    Looking at the entrance

    A door bell

    Rang once, no reply

    Rang twice, door moved

    Warmth and moisture

    Accompanied with sedative aroma

    Sedated I fell

    Face first

    Jackpot

    Paradise

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
