Pain
I am submerged in Pain, a pounding pressureA relentless heaviness I carry around
I fear no escape and it wears on my soul
A glimmer of light, then again to Darkness I drowned.
I am bound to the bottom by shackles and chains
The water surrounds, masking my flowing tears
I struggle to breath, I struggle to escape
I am not properly prepared, despite my years.
We have so many choices, so many paths to choose
If there is Light to be found, my quest this be
I will endure this hell to get to the Other side
I willingly opened the box and set the Beast free.
Naivete didn't warn me how strong He was
My body may be weak, but my mind has power
This fight is NOT all in MY hands, this I know
Until my last breath, I will not cower.
I just wish the Pain would cease, recess away
Let me live in the Light, a sparkle to shine
Alas, I feel my Destiny is to be torn
Half in the Light, half in the Dark...
Balancing The Line.
