Out for a Walk
Out for a Walk
Out for a walk this autumn night,
Into the magic of moonlight…
It’s much like walking in a dream,
As the moon spins a silver stream.
I hear fiddlers begin to tune,
Their concert to perform here soon.
A crick, a chirp, a beetle drill,
And the night air begins to fill.
Amber trees in moonlight sway
To the peaceful hum, as it plays.
Starlight twinkles, keeping time
On this autumn night so sublime.
Now humming too, I walk along
Listening to their magic song.
On into the night they played…
A cricket band in serenade.
Out for a walk this autumn night,
Into the magic of moonlight…
It’s much like walking in a dream,
As the moon spins a silver stream.
I hear fiddlers begin to tune,
Their concert to perform here soon.
A crick, a chirp, a beetle drill,
And the night air begins to fill.
Amber trees in moonlight sway
To the peaceful hum, as it plays.
Starlight twinkles, keeping time
On this autumn night so sublime.
Now humming too, I walk along
Listening to their magic song.
On into the night they played…
A cricket band in serenade.
