Autumn's Bed-time Story
Autumn’s Bed-time Story
Goldenrod, in Autumn nod…
Consulting with the breeze.
Evening shadows come to dance
Sweet ballet amidst the trees.
Sunsets cast a warm, rose glow
On horizon’s starlight climb,
Rows of sillouetted trees
Swaying side-to-side in time…
Bullfrogs call a slow, sad song,
Fireflies flicker secret code.
Crickets chirp a fevered pitch…
Autumn’s bed-time story told.
Goldenrod, in Autumn nod…
Consulting with the breeze.
Evening shadows come to dance
Sweet ballet amidst the trees.
Sunsets cast a warm, rose glow
On horizon’s starlight climb,
Rows of sillouetted trees
Swaying side-to-side in time…
Bullfrogs call a slow, sad song,
Fireflies flicker secret code.
Crickets chirp a fevered pitch…
Autumn’s bed-time story told.
