Poem Commentary

Sometimes in life we have the greatest of experiences. Find new friends, maybe a new girlfriend/boyfriend, new opportunities. But sometimes life throws us curve balls and these great experience we may have encounter have turned into nothing more but a memory. Sometimes we miss these memories and dream/wish for them back and it hurts. Sometimes we might even wish it never happens. But by the end, "But try to smile, for tomorrow is a New Day." shows that we must continue on with our lives because time never stops and theres always new opportunities for new memories and experiences to grow. And Smile that it happened

Only So Many

There's only so much pain that one can take.
There's only so many smiles that a man can fake.
Sometimes its hard, moving on day after day.
It's hardest when you have to say "I'm Okay."
Looking out in front and seeing nothing there.
And with such strong memories that you can no long bare,
for these memories are nothing more
then the simplicity of oxygen in the air.
Theres only so much we can take,
but try to smile, for tomorrow is a New Day.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
