    Once Along Time Ago

Once along time ago, when I was only 3,
I was sitting on my porch and a bird sat on
my knee, He sang a song of Au tum , and then went
his merry way,I often stop and think about ,that very
spec ail day. For I swore I saw that same old bird sitting
on my lawn and he was singing and singing that same
    old lovely song.

Did he know who I was ?
    Did he remember me?
Did he know that years ago
    He sat upon my knee?

I've been reading your offerings. And you DO have a lot to offer. It would seem that you have mastered the art of burst-works. Poems that capture thoughts and whisk themselves away without fanfare. This is lovely! It's perfect for internet reading. Keep up the good work and see about getting published sometime.

nicely done- the simplicity of a small uneventual childlike memory brought to life during the quiet times during our adulthood. also symbolic of childhood friendships that have come and gone.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
