MY FATHER

Hi dad i know your there
even though your not with me,

i can feel you when i close my eyes
your not just a memory,

I can remember a time when all was gand and such
i also remember your smile your laugh your touch.

when I was but a little girl and i scratched my knee
you were there to wipe my tears away, you are my hero
dad and this you will always be.

I enjoyed reading your poem about your father. I always wanted to have my father in my life so that I would have fun memories. Thanks for sharing your joy.

simplicity of a father remembered- I enjoyed your tribute to your father

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
