on behalf of the brotha

On behalf of the brotha’

You say you want me strong, motivated, and cultivated

someone in your life you can be proud of but you lay me out and reveal my  flaws before the world.

you talk about wanting a man who is firm, unmovable, the marrying kind, the type whose in touch with his feminine side so he can understand your depths-but when I do you knock me down with your corrupt mouth,

expropriate my manhood by calling me a punk -then proceed to convert my life to misery.

you say you want a hard working man so you won’t have to …I do  but you don’t recognize me as a vessel of strength and power.  My achievements and goals are too common for you.

you can’t understand where I’ve been to appreciate where I going.

you say you want a man who can understand your love language, how can I when you won’t teach me? Don’t you know I was birth to be present for you?

God has made it clear, he has crowned me king. I am not here to dominate,

I was created to walk you to absolute queen-ship

You say you  want me supportive, devastating with charm that illuminates light into your dark places- I open my portal to let you know the secrets that keep me strong and make me weak but

your invasion cripples me to utter disgrace and shame.

You say you want simplicity- I want to sit on the porch but you complain about the butterflies

I plan a cozy night at home with a movie and your favorite pair of socks -you nag me about taking you out on the town

I want to hold your hand in the quiet of the night but you want to know why I don’t do this often

I tell you I love you today, you explode, asked what about yesterday or the day before and after that- then dismiss and disconnect.

Look at me baby, I am your knight and shinning armor, polish up what you got and you’ll see a king.

Allow me to be a vassal of strength and power, not to dominate but to feed and cultivate what lies within.

Woman! What do you want?
