I wanted...
I wanted …
I wanted to write you a love song but
God has already written one for you,
listen to the birds outside, the wind rushing by,
the suns sizzle, the rain in it’s awesome splash,
the crisp of the cold winter’s night, the moons glowing presence,
the stars dancing, the stillness of the night,
the grass in it’s green-ness,
the flower sings it’s colorful verses of who your are to him,
the river’s and streams lift their voice
to tell you how endless his love flows
I wanted to hold your hand
give you a hug through your pain
smooth the hurt and assured you either way, you’d be alright
but God already had his hand there
And there was no room for mine, the job was bigger than me.
I wanted to come sit and talk to you a while,
listen to your problems and solutions
hear about your battles and wars
but God had those battles and wars won before
he allowed them to come your way.
It was up to you JUST LET IT GO!
I came to tell you,“LET IT GO.”
I wanted to take a long walk with you,
shoot the breeze about life and all its beauty
but God had occupied every position left, right, front and back
there was no where for me to stand.
I watched from afar and my soul was blessed.
I wanted to dance with you
but before going forth I ask God’s permission
He granted me full rights,
he said, “it’s okay it was my turn”
he said, “he has perfected you through the dance”
he wanted you to understand who you are so you could know me
So, here I am -can I have this dance?
I want to dance this dance with you- just you.
