    Ode to the Day

SUCH A CALM CALM DAY, THIS SUMMERS MORN
JUST THE SLIGHTEST WHISP OF WIND,
A SOFT WARMTH CARRESSES MY FACE
                                   SUCH A PEACE WITHIN
                              ALL IS QUIET AND STILL
                             JUST THE MORNING BIRDS
                               BREAK THE SILENCE
WITH THEIR TENDER CALL ,NEVER SHRILL

MY THOUGHTS REFLECT ON YOUNGER DAYS
                         WHEN MY INNOCENCE  MATCHED
                               THE DAYS TEMPERMENT
                           A WONDEROUS CHILD I WAS
                           GAZING SKYWARD AMAZED IN AWE
                               AT GODS GREAT FIRMAMENT

                           HOW FAMILIAR THIS DAY FEELS
SO MANY TIMES I'VE BASKED IN THIS SPLENDOR
ALWAYS ,ALWAYS SO GRATFUL FOR LIFE
                     EACH FRAGRANT BLADE OF GRASS
EACH SPLENDID FLOWER ETCHED IN MY HEART
                           AND EACH SEPERATE DYING HOUR
IS YET ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL HOURS START
