    Numb

    Numb

Worked so hard, for so long
    Now it doesn't count
Left alone to think of mistakes
    Feeling what's wrong

And now I can't stand, I can't not fall down
Did I earn my stripes? Are you proud of me? Did I make my way? Or is this meant to be? I can't even feel, you've got me numbered

    Regretting how I let go
Putting my trust in an empty heart
    Home is not a haven
    Tearing you apart

    Drama leads to more
    Aching leads to less
    Tried but gave up
Does that make me a failure?

Numb, by the syringe of life, Numb cause of the drug of your bull___, No cure, To far gone, you've got me numb.

    Numb, numb, numb

I know this feeling that you have described. Well put emotions into eloquent words and imagery. Good Write!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
