    My Love

    My Love

    You smile at me,
    Our friends say “I do,”
    I look into your eyes
And mouth the words “I love you.”

The room is filled with magic
Sparked by the their words of love,
    It shines in every eye,
A gift from the stars above.

    We dance so close together,
I feel the beating of your heart,
It's beating that it loves me
    And we'll never be apart.

    Our night is winding down,
    It's coming to an end,
    We hug the happy couple
And say goodbye to all our friends.

We change out of our fancy clothes
    And into something drab,
We talk late into the night
Of all the fun we had.

You wrap your arms around me
And we kiss a sweet goodnight,
You tell me that you love me
As you reach and turn out the light.

A smile plays on my lips
As I lie here close to you,
I drift off to peaceful sleep
Next to my love so true.

Awe I love the ending, another beautiful poem, please let me know when you add more. I like your romantic style

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
