I Am Gone
Gather round my funeral pyre
I'll tell you what I see,
I look down upon this place
And see all it's beauty.
I see all the things I've missed,
Each sparkling peice of the mortal coil,
From birds dancing upon the wind,
To plants nestled within the soil.
Why must we spend our lives so blind,
So unable to see
All the things around us
That fit so perfectly?
Why must we leave this place
Before the puzzle fits together?
Why must we only see a glimpse
And never know the perfect pleasure?
I wish to tell those who cross my path
Of all the things I've seen,
But alas, I am gone from this world
And you cannot hear me.
I'll tell you what I see,
I look down upon this place
And see all it's beauty.
I see all the things I've missed,
Each sparkling peice of the mortal coil,
From birds dancing upon the wind,
To plants nestled within the soil.
Why must we spend our lives so blind,
So unable to see
All the things around us
That fit so perfectly?
Why must we leave this place
Before the puzzle fits together?
Why must we only see a glimpse
And never know the perfect pleasure?
I wish to tell those who cross my path
Of all the things I've seen,
But alas, I am gone from this world
And you cannot hear me.
