Somehow I connect the exploding of the sand castle with the tide eroding. A tide which use to roar and now has left behind love letters in the sands of time. Yet, once in love, the indelible markings will revisit when the tide returns (memories). This comment is what those three little phrases pulled up for me out of my own memories. Good read.....deep and provoking.........

This Haiku, Is it about when you were a kid and you built a sand castle and then while you were digging a mote to stop the tide from washing it away a person, you thought was a friend or even more, put an M80 in your sand castle and blew to smithereens and made you cry. cause that happend to me when I was a kid and I was pissed... LOL I really like it it shows how nature and force can cause destruction of something lovingly built. Good write

I like your haiku, does it speak of love lost or an unhealthy relationship? Either way I like the wording in this poem

Thank you for your comment. Odd that your question can be answered 'yes' to both aspects. I wouldn't have thought that my words could make it that obvious.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
