I'LL WALK AWAY
That day,
when I hurt real bad
and I've taken all I can
of your insults and angry stares,
I'll walk.
I'll walk away
without stopping to say
goodbye.
It won't be so bad,
and you may have had a say,
that day,
if you had cared.
If you had taken a moment
to hear my torment,
I may have stayed that day.
That day, I'll walk away
without having to pay
any more dues to you.
You having your say
will not delay
me being true
to myself.
You'll see!
Finally,
it IS about me,
and I'll be free that day.
That day,
I'll walk away
without stopping to say
goodbye!
when I hurt real bad
and I've taken all I can
of your insults and angry stares,
I'll walk.
I'll walk away
without stopping to say
goodbye.
It won't be so bad,
and you may have had a say,
that day,
if you had cared.
If you had taken a moment
to hear my torment,
I may have stayed that day.
That day, I'll walk away
without having to pay
any more dues to you.
You having your say
will not delay
me being true
to myself.
You'll see!
Finally,
it IS about me,
and I'll be free that day.
That day,
I'll walk away
without stopping to say
goodbye!
