I couldn't beleive when I heard the news
no idea what was in store,
there would only be nine very short months
untill the stork would be at my door.

It seemed so never-ending
as I cradled you inside,
I felt you grow, move, and kick
as you swam from side to side.

We both faced complications
while you were on your way,
though I some how knew if we could just pull through
things would be okay.

I thought of you every night
as I'd lye awake in bed,
oh so very unaware
of the journey that lay ahead.

After ten long hours of labor
the doctor came in to say,
they were going to have to take you
you would be born that day.

After two short hours they held you up
in the window so I could see,
this precious thing I'd created
the most beautiful piece of me.

The first time that I held you
I'd never known a greater love,
than that I had for this little angel
God had sent me from above.

It's hard to believe you're two months old
and oh how you have grown,
everyday you give me new insight
into a world I've never known.

I love you more than anything
you've sure put me to the test,
I can't wait to see what's still to come
as we continue our exciting quest.
