    Masochist

    A shiver,
delivered from the darkest depths of my spine,
Shot through me like a hollow point pushing to the back of my mind,
a cold thought, a sudden glimpse of a once upon a time
from a closed book that tells the story of when she was mine,
And I fight the temptation to open it and look,
Just to see what once was through the story told in that book,
Still I remove the lock and tear off the chains,
To reveal the fairy tale with the ending that remains the same,
And everytime I read it I get hurt the same,
Anger takes me over and I curse her name,
I said I love you and YOU told me you felt the same,
Then you tell me YOU feel it for whats his name,
Now I'm humiliated, and hurt once again,
Vulnerable, wounded, and exposed to pain,
    A shiver.

Out of the deep dark you have written of that deviant predator! If not self transparency..... spirit gifted you a genuine imagination. I really loved the way you told that unspoken secret! Very touching flow and perfectly titled!

Thanks Orsonav. I am still trying to figure out where the words came from. I have to say that your work is very well written. You speak with passion, and I don't blame you. Your writing for the top critic. Take care.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
