    Lover's and Friends

    My lover once told me
Valentine's Day is more for lovers than friends
cause they share this love that will never end
i guess in the beginning it was all just games
but you charish more than only love names
you wrote me this note years ago
saying my love was your treasure
and i wondered what it really meant
but all i need was just this one hint
you told me you loved me
    and i loved you back
you said if I was tired
you'll carry me on your back
Love like this I will always remember
cause it's just like any cold December
I saw you walking in the snow
I let my heart lead the way cause only it nows
as I gaze at the sun and even the moon
I knew this day was coming so soon
    you kneeled to me
    on just one knee
    asking will you marry me
    on this Valentine Day
just let it be you and me
with this love we can cross any sea
I gazed in his eyes and started to cry
it's like at that moment i wanted to die
because they with misery comes shame
    and with loves follows pain
I've been decieved once maybe twice before
but maybe he's different and even more
they say all men are not the same
so I guess he's not the one to blame
so I took this ring on this very special Valentine's Day
and guess what we will share the same last name
that's the difference between a lover and a friend
a lover is devoted and not willing to share you with anyone else
and a friend comes and goes as they please
running to you and back to me
i had decision that seemed so very hard
but I guess my lover pull that player's card
    it's still hard to believe
that special someone will make you buck at your knees

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.
