    Love is but an Incantation

    Dark, shadowy the vines grow
    creeping up the ledge
    creeping slow
The star lit sky cries as the raven sings its song
    "long life to her"
    she was young once
The gray shadows now show her age
    She has slept all day
and will now cry all night
for you love are but an incantation
Do you dare dream of being held so tightly
To scream of pain till it hurts
A slither of doubt shown in her eyes
    Her head hangs low
    "I am but an incantation"
    She sang her song
    Danced her dance
    Till the rhythm slowed
    She lost her stance
"sing to me, please sing again."

an enchanting image as I read.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
