Liberty

It is important each day
For our children to see
How our service protects them
In their land of the free

All through the land
You can hear the bell ring
The crack in its skin
Gathers a crowd when it sings

We say allegiance, reciting the pledge
United we stand, divided we fall
Where we believe in equality
And justice for all

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
