Just Me

Just Me

You might think I'm happy and carefree
You might think I'm all smiles,
"the life of the party."
Not a care or worry.
Really I hold this mask
for all to see.
So I don't see pity
or someone feeling sorry for me.
You might think I'm strong
but really I'm just me.
and sometimes I'm just
lonely, weak
and long to be free.
You might think I'm someone else,
but, really
I'M JUST ME!
