    Growing Up

One day, suddenly, you realize: There is so much more of and in the world then just you. You begin to think ourside you own box because out there somewhere is someone - and a few someones more, still - who's pain is worse, who's hurting a great deal more, who's burdens even heavier, who's life is just shittier. Your visions widen so you see the clairity that is: We are all just human trying to make it in this world today. You understand that the whole world does NOT owe you and giving of yourself pays well. You quit questioning your purpose and just... be you. Breathe in breathe out and know tomorrow is a face on the water-- not to be taken for granted.
You are never alone. There are others willing to felp when you're too emotionally hung-over to pick up the pieces of your broken heart, on your own. Those who simply won't judge and forgive because its the right think to do and because they have faith. You are deserving in all things no matter what you've done or have been told. It's okay to let your walls break down - even if it's brick by brick - it is not okay to push away people because of them. Never let past issues over come you. Learn from instead and in spite of them. Eventyally you take lessons so you learn and grow from the mistakes and try not to regret them so you don't erase who you've become. After a while you find that it isn't bad to compromise especially if it could make another happy and with compromise comes promise.
Someday you mind will open up. You'll trust more, believe in more, seek less of gratitude so you appreciate it more when you get it. You learn humility comes when your good enough to be humble. You embrace all things good ot bad even when-especially when- you don't think you could possibly take anymore of the bad.
    YOU SIMPLY EMBRACE IT.
Eventually you realize you won't lose anything by growing up. And then you understand your character is your greatest value - your legacy - and all that remains in the end...

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
