Just a Fan
Many a man
Has thought of women in a way that show them as just being a fan
Whether it was the girl on the block, with dreams of chasing Tupac
Or a girl in college crazy over some KAPPA
He was just and right fully so the man
So that made her, only a fan
Love of his life
I think not
More like the love of his night
But can the self proclaimed man, look back at a time when he was considered just a Fan
Could he think back to that time in class
when he got a view of some Diva’s red laced thong
and his only dream was to be number in her phone
Is he the man
No, I think not
This brother is only an ill forgotten, downtrodden, and soon to be forgotten fan
Somebody please tell me what made this brother think he was the man
When the truth is, he’s a struggling fan
But I wonder if he could think back
and remember that time he fell head over heals in love
To only find out, he was merely a one night stand
This made him even question if he was truly the man
Or just a fan
I wonder if he could think back a little further
Remembering that time he called that chick
and heard some other cat in the background of the phone
so he decided to abruptly pass by her home
this brother was border line stalking like he was in some Lenny Williams song
But when he found the sister was gone
And this was surely not what he planned
Oh my god, this converted player, the so called man
Had to come to grips with
All this time he was claiming to be the man
he was truly a fan
This player was still convinced of his superiority
And called this phase merely a drought
So he started to date some greek chick
And he himself was borderline geek or sheik
So he spent every cent he had in wooing the over the top chick
To only find out she was more into some other chick
So fellas this next time you disrespect a female by calling her a fan
Ask yourself
Am I only an ill forgotten, downtrodden, and soon to be forgotten fan
Or can I hold on to these claims of being the man
Or truly is she the man
Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?
