    Heaven on Earth

    Heaven on Earth
I can stare at your smile all day
Like it was to be that of my divine fate
I could stare at your eyes for the next decade
    And I swear
I would dream of it from that time
Like a criminal dreams of freedom while doing hard-time
    With the only difference being
You incarcerating me within your mind
And losing you would be dyer
And without you girl my soul would surely die
    Because in you girl
    I believe I can fly
And no matter how many times you compare me
    Girl I’m not that guy
    Because in my eyes
    You are truly heaven sent
And losing you would definitely leave me bent
But if I loss you and my soul would die
When I got to the gates of heaven
And St. Peter called my name
I would tell St. Peter thank you
But I have already experienced the fame
Because I already saw heaven on earth
    And her name was ????????
    (P.S. I haven’t met her yet)

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.
