Indifferent love
Will you hold me down forever?
Shall I never be released?
Will you linger in my soul
Until it lies deceased?
Decades past since my covet.
For a one not willing be.
But still you keep me clinging
to a hapless memory.
You rape me of my happiness.
Awaken me in dream.
Pursue me with remembrance
Of a love thought bright agleam.
I beg of you to let me go.
Release me of your grasp!
Or will you be relentless
until my dying gasp.
Forsake me Love if you must
But do it mercifully
Ease this lifelong pain I've felt
And erase her memories.
