In the Twilight of the Night

In the twilight of the night
    he whispers to the wind
    where do I start?
    how do I begin?
    the road is so lonely
    so many hearts turned cold
    the river has dried up
and the tree's have fallen down
    why is everything in vain?

In the twilight of the night
she proclaims that she has sinned
    how did it fall apart?
can I put it back again?
    the mind is so phony
playing tricks it must be old
    the river has dried up
and the tree's have fallen down
    why does everything seem insane?

I could relate to the insanity. I like your style.

    Thank you.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
