Dreary Dark Night

Dreary Dark Night

It was a dreary dark night
things didn't end quite right
lost and abandonded
trapped mulling over my plight

It would not get bright
spewing out words all in spite
hurt and desolute
enraged no one would win this fight

The would be no light
with no know resolution in sight
beat and worn
accepted this inevitable fright

It took one last bite
with the last of my might
wrecked and desperate
prayed everything would turn out right

Suddenly and to my delight
these cords of pain were no longer tight
free and joyful
prayers answered everything is white

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
