    Good-Bye Old Lover

    Good-Bye old lover
I did not wish it were true
these rivers are from me to you
and take this broken spirit too
I can't believe it was that had to do

    Good-Bye old lover
hello there old bottle of whisky
hello mary-jane, did you miss me
together hand in hand we get tipsy
old lover has gone, she intends to forget me

    Good-Bye old lover
to hell I wish you go
    I'm already there you know
can't fond that something to stop this sorrow
wish upon wish there is no tomorrow

    Good-Bye old lover
you have taken my little girl
came like a twister with one mighty hurl
turned me inside out, upside down with my head in a twirl
left me with nothing, crushing my whole world

    Good-Bye old lover
the bigger the heart the bigger the fall
I did not know yours was so small
or perhaps you have no heart at all
I'll persevere old lover, one day I'll stand tall

    Good-Bye old lover
    Good-Bye to my mistakes
    Good-Bye to all heart-aches
Good-Bye to that sharp feeling of stakes
Hello new life, I have what it takes
    Good-Bye old lover
